How Does Hydrafacial Work?
Patients often ask us if their skin type is suitable for HydraFacial and in short, the answer is yes! The hydrafacial treatment process follows six steps to help you reach glowing flawless skin health
Detoxing:
First, we begin the hydrafacial with lymphatic drainage. This helps to increase circulation of the lymphatic system and improve blood flow to the skin, bringing oxygen to support the cells. This will also work to hydrate, tone and firm the skin whilst eliminating toxins.
Cleansing & Exfoliation:
Secondly, dead skin cells are gently exfoliated to reveal healthy, new skin. This is followed by the application of a serum containing lactic acid, glucosamine and many other botanical extracts. Skin is then cleansed using a gentle glycolic and salicylic solution to nourish and loosen debris ready for the extraction stage…
Extraction:
Gentle, water-assisted suction helps to remove blackheads and draw out impurities in the more congested areas. This stage is assisted by a brightening agent and a honey extract/salicylic serum.
Targeted Anti-Ageing:
Skin is infused with a multi-peptide complex known as ‘DermaBuilder’. This penetrates the deep lines and wrinkles of the face using a ‘twist and a kiss’ method. This will visibly plump the skin and stimulate collagen production.
Hydration:
HydraFacial’s vortex-fusion technology delivers a cocktail of hydrating hyaluronic acid, multi-peptides, and the most advanced and powerful antioxidants to replenish the skin for optimum skin health.
Rejuvenation:
Red and infrared LED light is used to reduce redness and further stimulate collagen. The light will also support the natural production of vitamin D, which will finish the face with a lovely summery glow.
Can I Combine Hydra Facial with Other Aesthetic Treatments?
Treatments such as Micro-Needling with SkinPen or Obagi Blue Peel Peel radiance can leave the skin feeling tight like a sunburn for days or weeks following your treatment. Although they are fantastic at targeting fine lines, deep wrinkles, shrinking pores, visible scarring, acne, sun damage and pigmentation to give smoother, rejuvenated looking skin, you may find your skin is craving some extra hydration to nourish and soothe the skin. The HydraFacial is an extremely gentle treatment that will bring back your skin’s radiance following a treatment that disrupts the dermal layer.
Aesthetic treatments should not follow a ‘one size fits all’ method. If a medical grade facial is not tailored to compliment your skin type, there is a risk the ingredients could cause irritation, redness and breakouts. Your experienced aesthetic therapist will help you choose the correct serum boost for your skin:
-
Dermabuilder Boost – Minimises signs of ageing and recharges skin with a combination of peptides.
-
Glysal Boost – Minimises congestion of pores and improves superficial acne scars.
-
Britenol Boost – Minimises the appearance of dark spots and sun spots for an even complexion
You can consult your therapist who will help you create a tailored hydra facial treatment plan for your skin, so you can achieve optimum results and achieve glowing flawless skin.
