WHAT IS LASER SKIN RESURFACING?
At Dr Grace Kelly Aesthetic Skin Clinic in Chalfont St Peter, laser skin resurfacing is performed with a ResurFX fractional laser, which stimulates the production of new collagen and elastic fibres in the deeper layers of the skin. Stimulating new collagen production is the key to a more radiant, youthful looking skin. ResurFX fractional skin resurfacing can be used for treatment of Acne Scarring, Pigmentation/Melasma, Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Age/Sun Spots, Stretch Marks. Laser skin resurfacing is a safe and effective way of replenishing the superficial layers of the skin. This skin resurfacing treatment can address a plethora of conditions, such as: lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, pigmentation, age spots, sun damage, rosacea and stretch marks, to help improve the look and feel of the complexion.
These conditions affect many men and women and may develop naturally or as a result of ageing. Dermal resurfacing at our Buckinghamshire clinic is a fantastically versatile treatment that can be focused on specific areas of the face, neck and chest or the entire facial profile, even illuminating delicate areas such around the eyes or mouth.
HOW DOES FRACTIONAL SKIN RESURFACING WORK?
Our Chalfont St Peter clinic performs laser skin resurfacing using the Lumenis Stellar M22 device which utilises industry-leading technology that sets new standards in popular skin rejuvenating treatments. This clever technology uses non-ablative, fractional laser beams that are delivered to the skin during the dermal resurfacing treatment. Non-ablative lasers penetrate to the deeper layers where light energy turns to heat. This also works to destroy damaged cells and encourage cellular regeneration, as well as stimulating the production of collagen. A consultation with one of our Buckinghamshire skin specialists will determine which approach is best suited for you so you can take steps to a fresher, brighter you.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM DERMAL RESURFACING?
Many of our Buckinghamshire patients are thrilled to see an improvement to the appearance of the skin after the first dermal resurfacing treatment, however the results will continue to develop throughout the recommended course of skin resurfacing procedures. The final outcome is often apparent within 3 – 6 months of the final treatment session as the complexion will continue to produce new collagen. The skin will become firmer, fuller, smoother and brighter for an appearance that is radiant and more youthful.
