HOW DOES PROFHILO WORK?

Profhilo has produced outstanding results for many people, including celebrities, and has an excellent safety record. Hyaluronic acid is the main ingredient which is naturally found in the skin. As this has not been cross-linked with other chemicals, it makes the risk of developing complications very low.
At Dr Grace Kelly Aesthetic Skin Clinic in Chalfont St Peter, we offer the use of a numbing cream to help make the Profhilo injections more comfortable. A very fine needle is used to administer Profhilo and patients rarely find the procedure to be ‘painful’.
As with many other injectable treatments, after Profhilo the treated area may become red, swollen and bruised. These minor effects do not often cause a significant amount of downtime, and will have disappeared within a few days. Other potential side effects will be discussed during the consultation at our Chalfont St Peter clinic.
You may be advised to take it easy for the first 24 – 48 hours after the Profhilo treatment which will include avoiding strenuous exercise and heavy lifting. Our Buckinghamshire practitioners may also recommend that showers and baths are with warm water, and not hot.
