The dermal fillers used in facial profiling are a safe and effective treatment, and Dr Grace Kelly’s therapists are highly trained and experienced practitioners.
The application of dermal fillers during facial profile balancing at our Chalfont St Peter clinic can cause some slight discomfort – especially when multiple areas are being addressed – which is why we’ll offer the use of a numbing cream. This is applied 20 – 30 minutes before the face balancing treatment and will help ease any sensitivity.
Redness, swelling and bruising is very likely after the facial profiling treatment, and as the whole face is treated, it can also cause some post-treatment sensitivity. This will ease within a few days and any bruising has usually disappeared within a week.
Cool packs can be applied to the face as required after facial profile balancing, if it feels particularly sore. It is important not to touch or rub the face for 48 hours after treatment, avoiding prolonged sun exposure and tanning beds.
