At the Dr Grace Kelly Aesthetic Skin Clinic, we use hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. They are a soft gel-like substance that work by restoring the levels of hyaluronic acid (ha) in your skin. Not only does this help smooth out wrinkles, but it also hydrates your skin and gives it a more youthful appearance.

What are the benefits of hyaluronic acid for my skin?

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body. Our skin starts to lose collagen and hyaluronic acid as we get older, which leads to our skin showing visible signs of ageing.

How do dermal filler treatments work?

Before you have any injectable treatments with us, you will need to have an in-depth consultation.

You will meet with one of our trained practitioners who will assess your skin and get to know more about your skin issues. They will also walk through the treatment with you and answer any questions you might have about dermal fillers.

When you come to our clinic for your initial treatment, we will go through the process to remind you of what to expect. We will apply a local anaesthetic numbing cream to the treatment area first to ensure that you have a comfortable treatment experience.

Your practitioner will inject the dermal filler into various parts of your face, depending on the areas you want treatment in and the look you are going for. Your dermal filler treatment should last 30-45 minutes.

You will be able to see your results instantly. However, it can take a couple of weeks for the filler to settle and for your final results to show.

There is no downtime with dermal fillers, so you can return to work after your treatment session. While side effects are minimal, you may experience some mild bruising or swelling in the treatment area. This is completely normal and will go down within 24-48 hours.

How long will my results last?

You can expect the results of your dermal fillers to last for up to 12 months. At this time, you will require a top-up treatment to help maintain your results.
